Hi sir. I have a small confusion in etabs. If we define section property as 9 inch by 15 inch for beam and 5 inch for slab in etabs does it mean 15 inches of beam is exposing below 5 inches slab in site or does it mean 10 inches is exposing below 5 inches slab? If section property in etabs is 9 inch by 15 inch means that 15 inches is including slab thickness or excluding slab thickness?

How to calculate the point of application of Load exactly on the Column due to these beams. (To know Whether column is Uniaxial or Biaxial) And Beam 2 having an offset of 6 inches from the end. But in ETABS it comes from centre of Column no.? How to resolve this problem?

Why slab is judged on basis 2. If it is less than 2 Two way and greater than 2 One way? Why number 2? Why not any other number?

I have designed a slab with 7 inch thickness and using 12 dia as main bar. Even though it is failing. What would be solution? Increasing depth further can't be uneconomical?
